This week we spent our time reviewing magazine covers and patterns throughout the feature articles. I found out a lot about the impacts the covers have on the audience, the money audience and the cultivating brand loyalty. To start, you can immediately recognize the Oprah Magazine based  off  the popular O that identifies her. This magazine is known for having an audience of  middle-aged  women because of the impact she has on them. On the cover of her magazine the title "Joy in the Mourning" pops out and this is her feature article. Between the cover page, the content page and the feature article, the orange is a common color and white fancy text is common all throughout as well.    The Cosmopolitan Magazine is another common magazine directed towards a women audience. This magazine has a popular teen celeb on the cover that looks confident and wearing light colors. The "Wear a Damn Mask" pops out on this cover page and grabs the attention towards the feat...

I have seen many movies in my life but have never really took the time to look for the impact of the opening sequences. This week, we  investigated  many films introductions and I realized how the film makers put a lot of effort into the effect, text, music, foreshadowing, you can already predict what the movie's intentions are and even get to know the characters.  After seeing so many clips and seeing the detail, I realized how important these   beginnings  are, how they  introduce  characters and how they can really shape the movie.    T he movie "2001 a Space Odyssey" had a very long  3-minute  opening with suspenseful music and not much other than a black screen was shown. You can tell by the opening that this movie isn't going to be an obviously happy Disney movie like "Lion King Circle of Life".
